Memorial Day is a time to take account of the present, reflect on the past, and renew our commitment to the future of America’s potential. Americans will gather on lawns and porches and enjoy the company of family, friends and neighbors, for this too is a part of the longstanding tradition of Memorial Day.

Sunday Of Hope 2017 Memo

I hope this message finds you in the best spirits and your chapter reaching new heights. As you continue to work hard for Kappa, it is now time to ramp up our collective efforts as we continue to raise money for St. Jude.

2016 was a great year as we endeavored to re-boot this campaign. We were successful in reaching one goal of raising over $100,000 but we did not reach our other goal of 100% participation by all active SWP chapters. This year let’s out do ourselves!

NPHC Appointment - Davis

I received a call from International Headquarters requesting that I provide them with the contact information of the Southwestern Province’s National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) representative.  I knew we didn’t have one already appointed, but I was reminded of a discussion I had previously with a brother while on a site visit for the 39th C. Rodger Wilson Leadership & Training Council.

Remembering the Legacy

Monday, January 16th marks the annual observance of the great life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A driving force behind the American Civil Rights Movement in the 1950’s and 1960’s, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated celebrates Dr. King’s life and dream of advancing equality, opportunity and social justice with great respect, honor, and commitment.
